Ram Joined SRM institute of medical & health sciences, Chennai in a newly created role as Group COO in August 2016 & is responsible for Business transformation, developing & implementing a long term strategy for the SRM group. Before joining SRM he was at Apollo Hospitals group where he ran sales & marketing functions across hospitals & was also the sales head for preventive medicine for the group.

Prior to that he was the General Manager for Marketing & business development with Glen eagles global hospitals, Chennai. He had previously held leadership roles in Banking & Financial services working for Barclays, ING, Royal Bank of Scotland & Principal financial Group Ram is a commerce graduate majoring in economics & corporate finance & an MBA in marketing from IIM Kolkata; He has done a Leadership program from ISB Hyderabad & a digital marketing expert from Columbia business school
